3/18/2014 - The positive file ... retoked!
Once again the launch of the positive file has been postponed indefinitely ... For several years the positive file has been at the center of the debate. This file had to be created to list all the credits of an individual. It was to allow a bank to verify, before granting a loan, the real debt of a household. This time it was the Constitutional Council which said no when the bill had been voted in the Assembly. The Haute Juridiction considered that the creation of this file would be an infringement of the right to respect for the private life of the French totally disproportionate to the desired goal. It is true that to file 25 million households for "only" 200,000 over-indebted households per year seems a little expensive and out of proportion.

If in February 2014, car sales fell overall in France (-1.4%), French manufacturers have regained market share (57% of sales). In the top 10 best-selling cars in France, over the first 2 months of 2014, there are 10 vehicles from the Renault or PSA groups. Prancing in the lead, the Renault Clio 4 regains its first place (5.4%), followed by the Peugeot 208 (5.3%), the Citroën C3 (3.6%) and the Renault Captur (3.4%) . In fifth position, the Dacia Sandero is followed by the Peugeot 2008 and the Citroën C4. To end the ranking The Renault Scénic III (2.6%) and the Peugeot 308 II (2.6%) are neck and neck, just before the tenth position where Renault places its Mégane III. This explains why ... foreign manufacturers are all struggling and Volkswagen and Ford are losing market share.
